Questions to ask before an intake integration
Define the workflow, interface access, data mapping, and responsibilities before choosing an integration approach.
Name the workflow first
Identify which system creates the visit, where the patient is matched, what information should move, and which system remains the record of truth. A vendor name alone does not define an integration.
Confirm access and agreements
Ask your vendor which interfaces are available to your organization, what authorization and contracts are required, and whether a test environment is available.
Map the information
List the patient, appointment, questionnaire, document, and status information your workflow needs. Define external identifiers and how mismatches or duplicate records should be handled.
Decide how events are handled
Clarify whether the workflow needs a request-based API, event notifications, an export, or a contextual launch. Define retry and review responsibilities before relying on automation.
Review Minthra’s roadmap
APIs, webhooks, FHIR-oriented exchange, SMART on FHIR, structured exports, and EHR connectors are integration roadmap items. Discuss your environment with us before assuming a production connection exists.
